untitled

Davor Zubac

is a longtime musical collaborator with John Akley, and is a great guy and a killer guitar player. Eric met him at a duelling piano bar, where he was requesting "Seasons From the Abyss." Think about it for a minute.

Nick Grover

or Buddha, to those in the know, is maybe one of the coolest percussionists in Lansing. A longtime friend of Eric's, the release performance for Tehcnical Difficulties is their first musical collaboration. He is also a killer cook and mighty quick with the wit.

Gravity + was on the Radio!

If you missed it, you suck. We told y'all it was comin'. Sheila Lovelace gave "Akley's Oasis" a spot on her 89.7 WLNZ show, Take the A-Train. We were preceeded and followed by some jazz greats and it was a good listen. We're gettin' out there, baby!

UPDATE: Apparently, The beautiful Ms. Lovelace has become a bit of a fan, as she seems to have kept AO on the regular rotation. So if you missed it the first time because you weren't paying attention or you were in the hospital or out of the state (the last two are moderately more acceptable than the first) or something, you can catch it again by tuning into "Take the A Train," which airs between 6 and 9 p.m. Thursdays on 89.7 FM WLNZ.

FURTHER UPDATE: As Sheila has moved to American Samoa, she no longer works for 89.7. We therefor can no longer be certain that AO has remained in rotation, but it's worth it to keep listening. For all her help in getting the band out to the listening public, Gravity + would like to extend her all out thanks and love, and wish her well in the South Pacific.

These guys ROCK.

Heh. Did you see what I did there? With the funny?
